Autumn Nights (lo-fi) - Essentially the story of a "summer fling," but with more emotional involvement than the phrase implies. The song was loosely inspired by real events and then colored with shameless romanticism.
Undertaker - My first stint as a composer, writing the score for this disturbing short film.
Bound for Ireland (lo-fi) - The closest I can get to an Irish drinking song. The story lacks any grounding in personal freebooting experience, being entirely the product of my imagination and a late-night viewing of Pirates of the Carribean.
Vigilantes - This originated as a college essay, and gradually morphed into something more personal and less useful. It opens with an overly-formal reflection on childhood, ploughs through a narrative of nostalgic rambling, and finally arrives at a psychoanalysis through science fiction references.
Forward - A collection of songs that I wrote during 2008 and 2009. Entirely self-produced in my basement, the album's production quality varies between tracks, but the songwriting is generally thoughtful and honest.
A Way Forward - A short screenplay that I wrote for a creative writing class. It experiments a bit with narration and a semi-linear timeline as the protagonist's various psychological issues are established, if not exactly dealt with.
